Holding compassion for what feels like the not so pretty parts of ourselves.

Seeking therapy can feel very daunting. Many people find that this anticipation does dissipate. What helps is building rapport and safety so that over time we can look at the many parts you bring into the room. Holding ourselves with compassion and curiosity can help in getting unstuck from old patterns. In looking at the many parts we will find laughter and creative ways of looking at things. This will help to sooth and regulate what has felt intolerable.

The images I have chosen for my website are not random. To me, trees symbolize healing. Just like you, they are resilient, have weathered all sorts of conditions, and continue to stand tall. My hope is to help facilitate healing through finding meaning and appreciation for all that you have traversed.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and trained psychotherapist. I work with adults who are seeking support for grief, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I help people increase their emotional intelligence, find symptom relief as well as more meaningful ways of understanding their life. I believe this is possible through a deeply authentic relationship, curiosity, and greater mind body connection and awareness.

Professional Background

I received both my bachelors and masters degree in social work with a focus on clinical mental health. I have many years of experience working in community mental health centers, non profits, nursing home and memory loss care, and currently private practice. My practice is informed by my ongoing engagement, training and consultation around grief and trauma informed practices as well as mindfulness, and psychodynamic perspectives.
