Navigate life’s challenges with greater flexibility and ease.

Feelings of anxiety and stress are a normal part of being human and help to keep us safe however when it becomes so significant that it interferes with being able to focus, sleep or feel settled in our body, talking to someone who understands this experience beyond just eliminating the symptoms can be helpful for long term change.

Sometimes people can identify the cause however upon closer look, oftentimes there is an undercurrent of worrisome thoughts and fears that have gone unnoticed, blanketed by physical manifestations. This is especially true as our culture continuously emphasizes that we should be doing more and be perfect while doing so. Understanding the uniqueness of a person’s experience with anxiety and the meaning of the symptoms can be a useful tool for getting back to a greater sense of presence and fulfillment day to day.

If you are having more acute symptoms of anxiety such as panic attacks, we can work on finding more immediate relief. I tend to incorporate education about symptoms and the body’s role as well as tailored coping skills that are meaningful to you to help find greater relief. Many people find these new perspectives to be a helpful tool in itself.

If you would like to talk more about your concerns and see if therapy for anxiety may be for you, I’d be happy to talk.
